Technical Account Consultant


Role Purpose

This role is to be a technical expert on Trade Effluent Water Services Accounts ensuring correct calculation of charges. Additionally to provide a service to audit water and waste service charges applied by the current supplier and in some instances by previous supplier's water services. The role might develop to include technical advice in the provision of water supply to new connections.

Main responsibilities

To be the expert source of knowledge on Trade Effluent Accounts and application of that to and within Aimera.

As required to liaise with customers both face to face and in writing on arrangements that should apply with respect to charging. This will require travel within Scotland and England. Customers might cover the full range of customer and include small retailers and major large scale businesses.

To ensure growth of knowledge within relevant departments.

To be able to present complex information in concise clear formats to each understanding.

To audit accounts comparing charges and accuracy across different organisations e.g. a current and proposed supplier.

To advise/liaise with customers on Water and waste services required including infrastructure and Meter requirements to ensure cost effective solutions.

Skills required

Numeracy to be able validate charges applied, understand likely meter sizes necessary for the volumes supplied.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication skills both written and verbal, and to be able present complex information in a clear and concise way.

Experience

Experience in a technical or related role within a utility or the construction industry.

Experience of direct and indirect customer interface at a variety of levels.

Context of the Role

This role will provide a service to Aimera to the benefit of its customers. In doing so it may be required to provide services to other organisations who will pay a fee for the service.

This role will operate as a separate cost centre and on a business basis. Depending on success additional resource might be recruited over time. Growth of that business may be incentivised.
